Christian Dior Spring 2014 Review: Totally Honest (but not so nice).
While I was doing this Christian Dior Spring 2014 Review, I realized that the newest designer at Christian Dior, Raf Simons does have some youthful and edgy designs this season.
I have to admit that I really miss John Galliano and his dramatic Haute Couture designs!
While there were some fresh yet classic gowns this Spring, there were many that just appear unflattering, and in a society here in the US, where people of all social-economic status are increasingly conscious of the shape of their body, I doubt that these designs will go over and sell as a viable couture option in personal style.
It kind of makes me think of that popular joke that I will adapt to Christian Dior Spring 2014: "Of course I am in shape in Dior Haute Couture........ Round is a Shape, isn't it?!"
"Or the Classic question that Fathers-to-be dread hearing from their wife: Does this dress make me look pregnant?"
OHHHH NOOO!
But let us highlight the positive designs first.
Voted one of the ten best-dressed at this year's Oscars, Jennifer Lawrence wore a classic red gown worthy of the Dior name. There is no argument that the simplicity and elegance speak volumes. I would wear this in a heartbeat!
However, in this totally honest review, I must confess that there were too many big balloon-shaped silhouettes, that seemed baggy and shapeless.
I cannot imagine anyone wanting to look like this! Puff-balls beware!
You have competition!
Who knew that gorgeous runway models could look so silly?
This final shot reminds me of maternity clothes, as this shape would certainly hide a growing belly! I just do not know what Mr. Simons was thinking!
I appreciate that the House of Dior has had its challenges since the termination of John Galliano, but mainstream Haute Couture really should reach a higher standard than this. Unlike us, they have an unlimited budget! There were 3 more puffy looks we will not bore you with.
We found someone that has something good to say about Dior 2014/15 AW HC! She actually has some valid points!
How did you feel about this Spring's looks from the House of Dior? Any honest opinions you would like to share are welcomed!

So exciting! New client safety protocols for all of our custom, bespoke, and couture clients servicing them internationally out of Istanbul Turkiye:
We are now servicing all of our custom fashion, bespoke, and couture clients remotely with zero physical contact or fittings necessary. This is the same way we have already been servicing international clients.
We conduct our consultations on zoom.
Then, thanks to 3-D printing technology we take our clients measurements by their 3-D body-scan.
We then conduct their fittings on their 3-D printed mannequin printed from their body-scan. (All new first time clients are required to get a scan and have a print out done. We facilitate this process quickly and easily.)
The new custom clothes arrive on their doorstep with a perfect fit.
