The Green Fashion editorial for AI 2013 Mens Couture Suits entitled:
"A camouflaged green spy leaves no footprint on our future."

The Green fashion editorial was inspired by a trip to the Green Fest here in my city of Chicago! We are all so passionate about the art of fashion that we rarely stop to think about the BIG GIANT GAPING footprint that the ready-made fashion industry is actively leaving on out future.

The statistics are STAGGERING and Shocking when it comes to the pollution and ruination that the factories and slaughterhouses cause to produce so much ready-made clothing every season, let alone year!

Then what happens to all these clothes once the season ends? Check out these stats I saw at the show that just floored me!

Ready-made textile industry waste statistics. FWI don't be a ready-mader. Embrace couture living!

That is a LOT of waste.

This green fashion editorial is geared toward making people think and adopt a couture mind-set instead of thinking like a ready-mader follower high-consumption approach to fashion.

These are briefly some reasons why custom couture handmade is better for the planet and is sustainable fashion that leaves little or no footprint on our future:

1. Couture clothing is handmade using very little natural resources to produce.
2. Custom Couture Garments are exclusive and never mass-produced.
3. Custom clothes cost more and for that reason are appreciated more and discarded less. 
4. Entry level couture like j-na couture and GSb Men's Couture are accessible to the upper middle-class.
5. Couture clothes are custom made to fit the personality, best colors, and best styling concept of the individual and are timeless in nature so they don't go out of style since they are not just based on passing trends.
6. Couture clothing is handmade from luxury often natural materials making them durable, long lasting, and high quality.
7. Custom clothes are empowering to the individual and the people around them to be themselves and be leaders instead of ready-made followers.

It was very inspiring!
